Counterfeit products
The dangers of counterfeiting
Counterfeiting is not only illegal, it is also dangerous.
After analyzing the contents of counterfeit footmuffs, we know that the "azo-free" padding used by Crocrobō Paris is often replaced with toxic components. These materials are often covered in bacteria, fungi or mold, which pose a significant health risk to your children. The dyes used release chemicals called aromatic amines, some of which are carcinogenic.
Finally, counterfeiting is not only a possible danger for your health, but also for your wallet. Counterfeit sites are unlikely to offer you the option of a refund once a counterfeit product is delivered. Additionally, without secure payment processing, your credit card or identity can be used for other illegal purposes.
How to spot the differences?
THE LOGO
It is possible to identify fakes by the often different or badly copied logo. Make sure the logo matches the image below.
TISSUES
At Crocrobō Paris we have chosen for our footmuffs a matt water-repellent Oxford coating and a velvet interior, both labeled Oeko-Tex® Standard 100. Counterfeits are often produced with a poor quality fabric, very thin, shiny and not at all waterproof. Without the Oeko-Tex® organic label, you run the risk of exposing your child to toxic and potentially carcinogenic products.
The Oeko-Tex® standard 100 is an international label issued to any fabric whose manufacturing process meets the standards required by the German Oeko-Tex® association. It was created in 1992 by the eponymous association with the aim of certifying that a fabric does not contain any dangerous component, which represents a guarantee of its quality for users. It is currently the most common label in the textile industry and remains among the most reliable on the market.
Our certificate bears the code: SHHO083014 . You can check the validity of the certificate on the official Oeko-Tex website .
THE FUR
Crocrobō Paris authentic faux furs are thick and sumptuous. They are effective because they provide face protection against wind and cold. Counterfeit furs are sparse, patchy and sometimes dirty. Counterfeit furs are often yellow in color and shed rapidly. Being close to your baby's face, he can put them in his mouth and ingest them easily.
THE BRAND
Our brand is registered in France with the INPI under number 4708304 and our model under number 202148148
